Leschetizky's Fundamental Principles of Piano Technique (Dover Books on Music) ReviewCan you imaging my surprise to find that AMAZON is carrying BOTH Books on the Leschetizscy Tecnic for Aspiring Conert Pianists!!! There are two 1. Leschetizsky's Fundamental Principles of Piano Tecnique,by Marie Prentner, and The Lechetizsky Method, a Guide to Fine and Correct Piano Playing by Malwine Bree.BOT books are essential for the Aspiring Concert Artist... And though material in both books is similar, there are evough differences so there is valuable information in the solid development of a virtuoso piano tecnique....
To me it is obvious that Lechetizsky deeply revered these young ladies and that they studied with him at different times in their developments... but the master taught them both the same yet differently so each has a different approach. This is a delightful Method, and the finger twisting exercoses produce the desired feeling in the hands and the strengthening of hands and wrists.... the whoole performing mechanism1 So, my Angels HOP to it!!! With the opportunities Amazon offers us there's no reason not to rake advantage!!! I have been looking for these books since 1948!!! But better late than never! AND don't overdo in your enthusiasm!!! These are really tough Finfer tanglers, and go slowly and very deliberately!
