Many years later, when my young daughter asked me to give her lessons, I ordered a copy of Step by Step, Book 1. Despite a new cover, it's still all there: The retro illustrations, the sweet songs. All nostalgia aside, it is an effective teaching tool, ordered logically and easily for beginning players.
