Casio CDP-200 88-Key Digital Piano with Full-Size Weighted Scaled Hammer Action Keys includes CS43P Keyboard Stand - CDP200 ReviewI bought mine from Costco (U.S.) which came with the stand and bench and am super happy with it. I saw it at the store, looked it up there and then on Amazon and saw the lousy review, so I didn't buy it right away. However, after I went home and did some more research, this digital piano actually got really good review in Canada, Australia and the UK. And for the price ($450 for the entire kit), it is an awesome deal. It has more features than I will ever need (or care to learn!!).
I have been playing the piano for almost 35 years but stopped playing regularly when I left home for college. I have a used upright that is about 90 years old and in pretty bad shape - the piano tuner/maker said that it is not worth spending the money to fix it. I don't play often enough to justify buying a decent upright, so when I came across this deal, I could not pass it up.
The set up was very easy. The sound of the piano is quite good - not for the purist, but perfect for someone who just wants play once in a while and is not hung up about it not being 'the real thing'. The keys feel like a regular piano and if one is so inclined, there are tons for fun features to mess around with. It even comes with 100 songs and it has a teaching function that it pretty neat. The pedal works quite well, but you just have to get used to it not fixed to the piano. It is not super portable, but it is light enough that if you need to move it, it is not a big deal.
I was so happy with it that we went back to buy a second one for our niece who has just moved away for college and is missing her piano. This is small enough (52"x12") to fit in her dorm room; and with head phones, she can play into the dead of the night without bothering her neighbors.
I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking for a basic digital piano.
